I should be missing something as I think this is a must-have feature and I couldn't find it in settings... A simple shortcut to display image names simply by hovering over them. I use the tool to organize a lot of renders of the same item with different lightings etc and I can't find a proper way to know the images name.

This is a feature we have in our todo list so hopefully it will get into a future version of PureRef. Until then, have you tried adding notes with Ctrl+N? It is of course a bit more cumbersome to set up but it could be a workaround at least.
