I need a dmg version of PureRef for MAC OS 10.11, is it possible??

We're unfortunately not able to provide support for the older versions of PureRef and we generally recommend keeping your macOS updated to get the latest bug fixes and security updates. We do understand that it is not always possible to update though, so if you still need it you can get the old version here for now: https://www.pureref.com/files/oldver.php?file=PureRef-1.9.2_x64.dmg

I understand, of course. Thank your for the answer. I'll update my computer as soon as possible, but the one I use today can't work with Mac OS 10.12.

The link you gave me only works with Mac OS 10.12.

Do you have an older version of Pure Ref that works with 10.11??

Hmm we thought 1.9 would work for 10.11, what does it say when you try? You can try 1.8 if you want as well: https://www.pureref.com/files/oldver.php?file=PureRef-1.8.0_x64.dmg

Just wanted to say to others with a similar version query to above post - that my (still going strong!) Mac Pro 3,1 (early 2008), OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 can run PureRef version 1.9.2 which I was able to download from the link provided above - https://www.pureref.com/files/oldver.php?file=PureRef-1.9.2_x64.dmg

Thanks for sharing that info @Skytale! We were pretty sure that 1.9 should be working all the way back to 10.9, so something else must be up for @mpp

Wonder what has been added and why it needs newest OS. Did the app change that much or is it because of the porting software used to get it to other OS's?

Not sure what happened, but i believe i had 1.9.2 working on my 10.11.6 machine. But currently keeps crashing for some reason. :(

The 1.8.0 does work for me.

I do have a crash report for the devs, but since its no longer supported daubt that matters

I tried the 1.9.2 version again but it keeps crahing when the main app window appears on osx 10.11.6
I also tried to edit your download link, but it seems versions 1.9.0 and 1.9.1 are not on your server. I also tried wayback machine and they cant find it neither. 1.8.0 and 1.9.2 it does find

I had contact with pureref team and they helped me out getting 1.9.2 to work again on OSX 10.11.6
In the folder /users/USERNAME/.config/ there is a file called PureRef.ini, in this file under [Genral_Settings] you need to add this line; CheckForUpdates=false
With this extra line, the version 1.9.2 no longer crashes on startup and i can use it
