I have a number of .pur files which were saved with "embed local images" disabled. If I enable embedding and open any of these files, subsequent saves will NOT embed the images. I would like to delete the source image directory from my hard drive, but this bug makes it impossible to remove the filepath references from existing .pur files

I am using PureRef 2.0.0.beta6, in Windows 10

Steps to reproduce:
- Open pureref and disable "embed local images in save file"
- Drag an image from Explorer into pureref
- Save the current scene as LinkedImage.pur
- Close pureref
- Reopen pureref and enable "embed local images"
- Open LinkedImage.pur
- Hit Save As... and save a copy named EmbeddedImage.pur
- Close pureref
- Delete the image file in Explorer
- Open EmbeddedImage.pur

Result: Pureref cannot display the image. The image data is not saved in EmbeddedImage.pur

Expected Result: Since "embed local images" was enabled when we saved EmbeddedImage.pur, one would expect embedding to occur

Thank you for the report! Unfortunately this is currently how it works, we'll try to look into making this better in future versions. The only way to change the embedded status of an image is to re-import it to the scene after changing the setting. In PureRef 2.0 you can at least see the linked status in the new Hierarchy view where any linked image should show a small link icon to the right of its name.
