Thank you for the suggestion! Could you use the Crop feature for this use case? Or do you not want to hide the surrounding details completely? If you crop an image you can use the Pan cropping/Zoom cropping shortcuts to adjust the crop rectangle, basically setting the zoom rectangle.
We've noted your request for an API/scripting.
Thank you for the suggestion! We'll be adding a duplicate action in the next version of PureRef that will create a duplicate under the mouse cursor when pressed. While it won't work exactly as you describe above maybe it will be helpful as a first step?
Thank you for the suggestion! When you say "old version" do you mean PureRef 1.11? In PureRef 1, it was only possible to scale notes.
We changed so that empty notes are automatically deleted to conform to how other similar apps work, but you can work around it if you want by adding a single space.
The note resizing has 2 modes:
- If you're not in text editing mode, dragging t
Thanks for letting us know! Which email client are you using? The notification emails are plain text currently but most email clients we've tried auto convert the links anyway. But it is a fair point that it would be nice if they are html in this day and age.
Thank you for elaborating and explaining your use case! We didn't quite understand how you meant the shortcuts should, if you can make an example image or video that would be super helpful. We don't support attachments here but you can post a link to image upload services like imgur or similar.
Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately PureRef is built with different technology and it is not straight forward to implement the same functionality. We know that a lot of people would like to see video support so we're looking into it but can't promise when we'll be able to get it working unfortunately.
Thank you for notifying us about this issue and providing more details. We believe we've found the issue and it is indeed a Windows only issue on screens that either have a lot of scaling enabled or is too low resolution. We'll try to have this issue fixed in the upcoming version of PureRef.
Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with PureRef. Could you try to provide some more details like which operative system you're using and if you get any error messages? If you could make a small screen recording showing the issue that would also be super helpful! (We'll move this post to the Bug reports section of the forums)
This is how the hierarchy currently works, children are always rendered on top of their parent. A workaround for this in your case could be to instead put both your images inside a group (and set it to have a transparent background if you wish).
Thank you for the suggestion! We'll be adding an image management utility in the upcoming version of PureRef although it will not include the option to move at first, only to export and re-link to the new location. We'll let you know when a beta version is available for testing and we can discuss further how this would look like in that tool then.
Thank you for the suggestion! There's ways to calculate a dominant color, is that what you mean? We assume that you would like the images to group up by color somehow? And not like the other arrange options where they are ordered in rows based on the arrange metric?
Thank you for the suggestions!
Regarding the space between the images; it is currently settable with the setting Alignment padding. We'll note that it would be useful to set different values for rows and columns.
Not sure we understand the exporting issue fully, but when exporting images we use the order of the hierarchy which you can manually edit by drag dropping the items in there, a
Thank you for the suggestion! All the arrow shortcuts are currently used by stepping and depth ordering and arrange actions, but it could be an idea to just add the feature with no shortcut and you get to set it yourself?
Thank you for the suggestion! In the upcoming version of PureRef we'll be adding a recent scenes widget on the start screen with thumbnails and pinning support as a first step in this direction. We can't promise exactly when it will be ready but we'll let you know once a beta is available for testing!
Thank you for the suggestion and the example! A drawing can contain lines with different colors, but maybe it could work as with notes that changing the color like that changes all of the lines.
Do you know if you have the setting Embed local images in save file enabled? In that case you can simply upload the .pur file as it contains all the images. If not then there's unfortunately no easy way to do it in the current version of PureRef. In an upcoming version we'll be adding a utility that can update the link status of images already in a scene, but we can't promise exactl
Unfortunately there's no way currently to do this, but we'll make a note that it is something you would like to see in future versions. Thank you for the suggestion!
Thank you for the report! This is related to the other issue you reported so it will also hopefully be fixed in the next version, we'll let you know when there's a beta to test!
Thank you for the detailed report! We'll have a fix for this available in the upcoming version of PureRef. We can't promise exactly when it will be out but we'll let you know here once the beta is available for testing.
Could you explain a bit more what's happening and what you expect to happen and which operative system you're using so that we can try to help you better? If you could make a small screen recording of the issue that would also make it a lot easier to help.
Thank you for the suggestion(s)! We're a bit reluctant to add too much image editing features as we try to focus on being a great viewer, but we'll note your request. Being able to update the source link would probably be a good feature to have though. As a workaround you can always add links as a comment, although they are not quite as easy to access. In the upcoming version of PureRef
Thank you for elaborating! We'll keep it in mind if we get to adding this feature in the future. One possible solution could be that if the image is embedded in the .pur file we first export it to a temporary directory, and if that temporary copy changes we somehow reload it and replace the embedded copy.
Thank you for the suggestion! We're not sure we fully understand how you mean it should work. Do you mean that you would use the shortcut in the scene view or in the hierarchy? Are we correct if we understand it as you just want to flip the order or would it be possible to change the order in other ways?
