The limitation of the size is not really due to it being saved as png but more because of performance reasons. But we agree that it should be possible to decide the format of the export and the psd special case could also be a useful feature. Thank you for the suggestion! We have written it down for future releases.

The initial thought was to let the user handle downscaling of images but you are right that it becomes inconvenient when you have a lot of really high res images that you want to load. Would it work with a option to enable downscaling of images bigger than a settable resolution?

As of version 1.5.0 this can be done by accessing the "Reset Cropping" action, default CTRL+SHIFT+C.

At the moment we don't have the hardware to test this functionality but it is indeed something we would like to add. We might be able to do it with simulation software but we will have to look into it so it might take a while before we get to it. Thanks for the suggestion, it has been added to out to do list!

We're looking into adding functionality for binding the mouse buttons but if this doesn't work out we will consider adding preset control schemes to match most popular programs.

Thanks for the suggestion. This feature will be available in the next release. You will be able to open the containing folder or the web address from which the image was dragged/copied.

It is only possible with undo right now, after you have saved the scene and restarted PureRef it will be undoable. This might be something to change in the future.

Dont worry, we can keep this thread for others who might have the same problem. :) By default the resizing (called 'Scale' in the keybinder) is available by holding Ctrl+Alt and using the left mouse button. Cropping can be done by holding down the 'C' key and using the selection rectangle to specify what part of the current selection you want to crop. Don't hesit

As you probably also read PureRef is programmed with cross platforming in mind so it should not be that much work to get it running.
