Pan and zoom inside the cropping is now implemented in PureRef 1.8.0. You can pan by holding V and zoom by holding Shift+V.by PureRef - Help

Mouse button bindings are available in the new PureRef 1.8.0, in the keybinder, under the System tab, you should be able to rebind Move Window to Middle Mouse Button and then under the Controls tab set pan to Right Mouse Button. In the new version of PureRef 1.8.0 you can at least specify the location of a secondary settings file by providing PureRef with a command line option, -s C:\\path\\to\\settings.ini. As for the other requests they are still on our roadmap.by PureRef - Suggestions

1. Have you tried the Note functionality? Ctrl+N will give you a note in which you can type and color the text and its background. The created note will also hang on to any image you had selected when creating it. 2/3. There seems to have been a bug in the current version of PureRef 1.7.1 that would not save that particular setting between restarts. This has been fixed in the upcoming version 1.8.0 which is due for release any day now. Try it out when it is released and let us know if the issue persists.by PureRef - Help

Could you provide some more details? What OS are you on, from what version and how did you upgrade, and have you tried resetting the config file? (If you haven't and want to help us find the cause of the issue, take a copy of the old one and mail it to us. Would you want this for copying to other applications or for a convenience shortcut instead of having to use ctrl+shift+c to reset the cropping after pasting? Maybe this could be solved by adding a way to build your own composite actions in the keybinder which in this case would chain Reset cropping -> Copy -> Undo?by PureRef - Suggestions

We have thought of making releases for mobile devices and the codebase of PureRef is made with that in mind but currently we don't have any plans to add IOS or Android to our supported platforms. This is mostly due to lacking resources and the amount of work it takes for every new platform we need to support. Thanks for the detailed explanation of the problem! We understand that it is an issue which might limit the usefulness of PureRef and will look into what kind of options we have to improve in this area. However it might be worth asking Photoshop to improve their functionality as well since they clearly have the technical solution for it, just not allowing enough user control.by PureRef - Suggestions

1: Currently the packing algorithm always strives to pack into an optimal square. Do we understand it correct that you are looking for a "pack images within the current visible area" function? 2: In the current version of PureRef this is not possible, but will be in the next so keep a look out for it! What kind of monitor are you using? PureRef should support limited multitouch operations in Windows but we have only tested this on a Microsoft Surface so it might be that your monitor behaves differently. The controls that should be available are: 2-finger pan to pan the canvas 2-finger pinch to zoom the canvas (or if in overlay mode it will scale the selected images) Double-tap should worby PureRef - Suggestions

Do you mean to pick some color from PureRef outside the PureRef window? In that case yes it should be possible to do. Or do you mean that you would want some integration with Photoshop? Which might be harder to do from our side. How do you mean that the photoshop feature in the video is not that usefull?by PureRef - Suggestions

Yeah that might be, we will look into it! You'll get neighbour-snap when moving images in the next version of PureRef which does consider the padding. For scaling we will see what options we have in the future.by PureRef - Suggestions

Grouping is on our todo list, we can't say when but we'll try to get it in soon! The URLs to remote images are already saved when you drag drop images from the browser or when you paste a link (this should work in the latest version of PureRef). When you use copy, as you say, the only information that PureRef gets is the image data so unfortunately it is hard to solve in that case.by PureRef - Suggestions

Thank you for reporting this! We managed to reproduce the issue and it has been fixed in the upcoming version of PureRef. There was one more step that we needed to take in order to make it crash and that was to unselect the currently selected note before closing the color picker.by PureRef - Bug reports

Thank you very much for taking the time to give us such extensive suggestions! - We have video support in our wishlist but it might take a while for us to get there. A requested feature from animators related to this is also to have a frame stepping control to each video which you could use to pause the video and then copy the current frame into new images. - We're currently exploring oby PureRef - Suggestions
