We don't think any version of PureRef has been working for OS X less than 10.8 (We haven't tried) or have you used some older version before? What's the reason you don't want to upgrade your OS X installation?by PureRef - Help
It sounds like you might have a broken installation of Visual Studio Redistributable 2015. Try to download it manually and install it from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145 Let us know if it doesn't help and we'll try to help you further!by PureRef - Help
This is definitely something that we can look into for future versions of PureRef. The basic support is already there and you can kind of use it already by rotating your image and cropping the corners when it is rotated, but it is not optimal. Thank you for the suggestion!by PureRef - Suggestions
Is the Crop feature what you need? You can hold C and drag a rectangle with the left mouse button over the area you want to crop. If you later want to adjust the crop area you can do so with V+LMB drag, or scale it with Shift+V+LMB drag.by PureRef - Suggestions
Yes, that is true. We'll keep it in mind when looking into improving in this regard, if it can't be done in an optimized way providing a setting to enable it anyway might be good.by PureRef - Help
Unfortunately this is currently the case in PureRef. This is due to performance reasons as you want to quickly be able to zoom in and out and pan around disregarding of the current scale of the images you have in your scene. This is definitely something we want to improve in the future though. Usually, having that big images in PureRef can be a bit heavy on performance and might not alwaysby PureRef - Help
We're probably going to look into adding more arrange options in future versions of PureRef so this could definitely be one of them. Thanks for the suggestion!by PureRef - Suggestions

While PureRef is maximized you won't be able to change its size or move it. Can you disable the maximized mode with Ctrl+F or in the right click menu under Window -> Maximize? If it is not in maximized mode you might have enabled the Lock Window feature, Ctrl+W or Window -> Lock Window. If neither of these help you can try to reset the config completely by removing the config fileby PureRef - Help
Would you like it to work more like focus image does if you first select all images with Ctrl+A? Or would you want to see the entire canvas?by PureRef - Suggestions
Yes, this is definitely something we want to add in future versions of PureRef. We thought about making it automatic, when a file changes on disk PureRef will ask if you want to reload it and then you would be able to choose to do it automatically as well. Would this be a good solution for you? Thanks for the suggestion!by PureRef - Suggestions
This could definitely be useful. We'll add it to our todo list and look into options for future versions of PureRef. Until then, if you didn't know, maybe the double click or space feature will help somewhat for this case as it saves the position of the camera before you pressed space and then if you press space again it will restore the old camera position. Thanks for the suggestiby PureRef - Suggestions
If you need another version or simply need to download PureRef again you can always just enter 0 in the Name your price box on the download page to be directed to the download instantly. Thank you very much for supporting us!by PureRef - Help
We will try to look into saving the images in their original format inside of the .pur file in the future, but for now this is unfortunately the case for highly compressed images.by PureRef - Help
What format are the images? When embedding images into the .pur PureRef saves the image data as png so that might be the reason if the original images are highly compressed jpeg for example. If you want to minimize the size of the .pur file you can always choose not to embed local files in the settings. If you do this PureRef will try to load the referenced images when you load the .pur insteadby PureRef - Help
The next version of PureRef will hopefully be compatible with your system. We're not sure yet though if we will distribute it as a rpm or if you will have to solve it as you did it now with alien. Thank you for the suggestion!by PureRef - Suggestions
We're always happy to hear your opinions so don't worry about writing in old threads! Thanks for the offer, feel free to contact us through the contact form on the support page and we can take it from there.by PureRef - General
The next version of PureRef will have both per image grayscale toggling and a full scene grayscale mode, we hope that will satisfy all of your grayscaling needs! Thanks everyone for your input.by PureRef - Suggestions
The general purpose of the canvas is to let you define your scene bounds in case you want to export your scene as a single image. If you're not using the export feature and don't want the canvas you can always hide it by setting the background color and the canvas color to the same color. But yes, this could definitely be a setting, thanks for the suggestion!by PureRef - Suggestions
This is indeed an issue and it is not fixed in 1.8.0. We will look into getting it fixed for the next version of PureRef. Thank you for letting us know!by PureRef - Bug reports
Currently only local files are available for linking but we can look into adding it for remote sources as well. How would you prefer to handle it? Have a setting which allows you to decide what to do with different source types? Copy pasted images will always be embedded as the source might be unknown, should that be prohibited for these kind of scenes? Thank you for the suggestion!by PureRef - Suggestions
Drag & drop overall is something we want to look into, so this could be useful as well. Thanks for the suggestion!by PureRef - Suggestions
Thank you, we will try to reproduce the issue and hopefully have it fixed in the next version of PureRef!by PureRef - Suggestions
