Artists do not always use 2D images for inspiration or learning; sometimes, they use 3D references to visualize the perspective or angle of certain things. It would be nice to have an embedded view of Sketchfab since many people, including me, use 3D references to understand how objects look from different views.

This might be simple feature but beneficial at the same time which's Grid background in the canvas to give you sense of depth when you are zooming in or out like In Figma FigJam. it could be any pattern. but I believe this also be helpful, so you be aware of the scale of the images and scale them to the right size.
