Hi guys I have a bit of a problem here. Recently I have transfered several pure ref files onto my google drive account. When I came home I wanted to download them and continue using them however when the file opens it says : unrecognized pure ref save file. How do I solve this? Kind regards,
R
There is one file that somehow doesn't give this error. This is what google drive says about the working file:
Type
Binary File
Size
27 MB (28,031,917 bytes)
Storage used
27 MB (28,031,917 bytes)
Location
pureref

To compare what it says to the files that do not work:
Type
Windows Shortcut
Size
972 bytes
Storage used
972 bytes
Location
pureref

Can it be, as it says, that you have only uploaded a shortcut to the other .pur? Otherwise, if google drive says that the non working files are only 972 bytes, it sounds like something went wrong with the upload.

The error PureRef gives means that the file you're trying to load doesn't even contain a PureRef header.

Hope this helps.
He admin, It could be but that doesnt explain why the other file does work? I have done it before and it worked perfectly fine back then. When I download it the file puts after .pur a .download. Hope this helps? Cheers o/

The file that is working must have been uploaded fine. The files that are not working seems to be windows shortcuts according to google drive, so either you have uploaded shortcuts to those files instead of the actual file or google drive has failed to upload them properly.

The .download extension is usually added to files that are not yet fully downloaded by your browser. So this sounds like an issue with either google drive or your browser / program that you use to download the files. If there is no data in the file PureRef can't help but give you an error :)
