Topic: Arrangement optimization and image zoom/pan
Hi,
I have two questions regarding the software:
1. I'm currently exploring pureref and I really love the automatic packing/arrangement feature! However, it looks like it's resetting the canvas every time to a square. Is there any way to make use of my entire screen space, enabling and disabling automatic scaling?
2. It it possible to zoom and pan within a single image? Let's say I have an entire character loaded up(front, side, top, back), but for now I just want to focus on the face - can I somehow resize the image frame, zoom in and pan around as if they were a canvas themselves? I can zoom in on a single image, but that removes the other ones from view. Kuadro does this and it's super comfortable to not worry about the original image crop/aspect ratio etc. Maybe I just missed how to do this.
Thanks!
1: Currently the packing algorithm always strives to pack into an optimal square. Do we understand it correct that you are looking for a "pack images within the current visible area" function?
2: In the current version of PureRef this is not possible, but will be in the next so keep a look out for it! Until then you can just use the crop functionality (C+LMB drag over selected images) to crop out the area you want to view and then scale that. And when you want to go back you can just reset the cropping (Ctrl+Shift+C).
1. Yes, that's what I'm looking for.
2. Alright, that sounds good - I'm looking forward to it.
Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate that.

Pan and zoom inside the cropping is now implemented in PureRef 1.8.0. You can pan by holding V and zoom by holding Shift+V.
Hi!
I've just started using your software today, and I'm really liking it so far.
There's just one thing I'd really like to have; so I thought I'd go and look in the forums to see if it was possible at all or if someone had already suggested it.
Seems so! So I'm replying here because this is what I'm looking for:

I'd really appreciate it if you could add it. Don't know how hard it is to do, but I've got a huge ultrawide monitor here that I want to use to its fullest extent ;).
Oh and I'll send some money your way as thanks for this great piece of software!
This feature should probably not be that hard to implement. We'll look into adding it to future versions of PureRef.
We're glad to hear you like PureRef and thank you kindly for your support!
