Topic: How to use pure ref on IPad?
I just downloaded pure ref on my iPad Pro and it doesn't seem to be working. I assumed it would function like an application but it's only been saved as a file that I have very limited interactions with. The icon on my file explorer is just a question mark, and when I click on it, it just displays the name of the file. There doesn't seem to be any way to open the application from the file explorer, did I do something wrong, or am I looking in the wrong place?
The app also hasn't shown up on my home screen or app section.
Hello! Just a quick reply here.
For PureRef to work on an iPad the developer has to make it as such, likely requiring quite some heavy lifting or rewriting of parts.
Also, the straightforward way for installing apps on iOS is through the AppStore, putting the files in the “Files” app won’t really work, even if it is an .ipa file.
TLDR:: If you downloaded PureRef for Mac and tried to put that in your folders and then open that it won’t work, iPadOS doesn’t really know what to do with it.
But here’s hoping that it happens one day :-)
