Topic: [Solved] Jpg Being Imported Upside Down While Converted Png is Not
Hello, I think I found an issue with the images I'm trying import here. I took a picture with my phone. I then got it onto my computer, then tried importing it into pureref (drag and drop, but the other methods got the same result) . The issue is that it gets imported upside down. The orientation is right side up in windows file explorer and photoshop, but not in pureref. But when I take that jpg into photoshop, save a copy as a png and import that into pureref, it is right side up.
Here's a link to the jpeg, png, and a pur file with both images:

JPEGs can have a rotation in their metadata and this is something that PureRef currently doesn't read. We haven't put any effort into fixing it yet because it is so easy to rotate the image within PureRef but it is definitely something we should look into in the future!
Thanks for notifying us about this.

Wait, you can rotate an image in pureref? I was looking for this option because of this issue and couldn't find anything.
Just select the image(s) you want to rotate and hold Ctrl+Left Mouse Button drag in the direction you want to rotate.
Ah, ok. Sweet. Thanks for the help.
The latest version of PureRef, 1.10.3, should import rotated images correctly, if not let us know!
