PureRef offers a wealth of powerful features, but it is often difficult to memorize every single shortcut.

Today, while trying to find the "Crop Reset" function, I had to go through several steps: Right-click -> Settings -> Search "Crop" -> Find the shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+C) -> Finally use the shortcut. This interrupts the creative workflow.

I would like to suggest a "Quick Search" feature, similar to the one in Blender (F3), to streamline this process:

Search Trigger (e.g., F3): Pressing a hotkey opens a "Quick Search" bar.

Instant Execution: Typing a keyword (e.g., "Crop") shows a list of related functions. Users can then select a function with the arrow keys and execute it immediately by pressing Enter.

Memory Feature: When the search bar is opened again, the last executed command should be pre-selected for quick repetitive use.

This feature would allow users to access any function instantly without diving into menus or memorizing dozens of shortcuts.

Thank you for considering this suggestion!

Thank you for the suggestion! PureRef does have a rudimentary Command palette that you can access either with the shortcut or just typing in the right click menu. It is a bit hidden so we would love to hear your feedback on it if you find it useful!

Would you say that F3 is the standard shortcut for this?
"Oh, it was already there! Since F3 is the standard shortcut for 'Search' in many other programs, I think it would be great if F3 could be the default as well."

and
"I use PureRef in Korean. I would like to be able to search in English even when the language setting is changed to another language in the Command Palette.

Currently, it only searches in the set language, but I would like it to be able to search in both English and the set language.

Current:

US: "crop" => crop

Another Language: "crop" => nothing

Another Language: "자르기" => 자르기 // (Korean for 'crop')

Request:

Another Language: "crop" => 자르기"
