I am not sure if this feture is already implemented and it's just a bug in 2.1 beta. I can see that color does persist from previous note to a new one. But nothing else does - highlighting and weight are not transferred for example. I have to keep portion of the text with formatting in clipboard, which I paste in a new note before typying a new text.

Thank you for the suggestion! Currently only color and font is saved with the reasoning that the others (weight/italic/underline/strikethrough) are easily toggeled and not always wanted. Highlight arguably is not as easy, but if you want it for the entire note it is probably better to use the background color instead?
