Add a second type of rectangle - a "sorting rectangle" or "arrangement area" - alongside the current global resize rectangle.

Right now, when you select multiple images (e.g. 100), Pureref provides a rectangle for scaling them. I propose adding a second rectangle, maybe shown in red, that works similarly - you can drag and resize it - but instead of resizing the images, it defines the area where they should be arranged.

Currently, Pureref seems to arrange selected images either randomly or in a compact square-like layout. With this new rectangle, the user could control that — for example, dragging the red rectangle to create 2–3 rows of images, causing the rest to flow downward. Or stretching it wider to create a more horizontal layout with fewer rows but longer image lines.

This would give more control over how large selections are visually organized.

Thank you for the suggestion! Do you mean that you would like the arrange method to scale images to fit inside the rectangle? Currently all arrange methods do not scale, which is why it is a bit hard to confine it to a rectangle. Maybe groups could be used as a way to define the area if groups could be resized manually?
well in my situation I press CTRL SHIFT LEFT in order to make the same size to all images
Next I press CTRL ALT O - to organize them

Pure Ref organizes the images in a shape of a square and if you press CTRL ALT O again it will change the position of images putting 1 at 99 and 99 at pos. of 1

But it will always be a rectangle shape: https://ibb.co/fYvyRNLL

But instead I want to use red outline to drag the arrangement layout to whatever I want: https://ibb.co/Z62PRJdx

Or horizontally, quickly changing the arrangement

Think of it as Photoshop new layer > you create a red square > CTRL T to transform > and now you can transform the square how you want, but in PureRef that red square will contain all the images (red square is just a term for "selection of n-number of images).
