I would love there to be an option to flatten the hierarchy (move all the children out of their parent nodes). This is mainly because I copied nodeblocks a lot and found out the copied block ends up parented to its original. Fixing this en-masse would be nice.

Additionally a setting to not parent a copied node to the original node by default would be great too.

Thank you for the suggestion! Maybe the "Ungroup" command could be updated to do this and not only work on groups, we'll make a note and see what we can do in future versions.

We've just released a beta version of PureRef 2.1.0 where we removed the copy & paste auto parenting in favor of adding a Duplicate command that retains parents, in case you want to give it a try.

yes please, this! Ive searched for more than a year now and It pissed me off enough to create an account to post this. A simple "IGNORE HIERARCHY" would be just dandy for now.. Thank you.
