Hey PureRef team,

Thanks for making such a great tool — it's a huge part of my daily workflow!

I wanted to suggest a feature that would really help with reference-heavy work: saving the zoom level per image. A lot of the time, I'm only interested in a small part of a reference (like tiny details), and it gets a bit tedious having to zoom back in every time I switch between images. It’d be awesome if PureRef could remember the last zoom level for each image when navigating via the hierarchy or keyboard shortcuts.

Also, just throwing it out there again — having some kind of API for devs would be amazing. I know it’s been mentioned in the past, but it’d open up a lot of possibilities. Personally, I’d use it to add and arrange images programmatically, and to navigate the canvas automatically via code — things that would really boost efficiency for custom workflows.

Thanks for considering it, and keep up the awesome work!
Thank you for the suggestion! Could you use the Crop feature for this use case? Or do you not want to hide the surrounding details completely? If you crop an image you can use the Pan cropping/Zoom cropping shortcuts to adjust the crop rectangle, basically setting the zoom rectangle.

We've noted your request for an API/scripting.
Thanks for the explanation!
The crop feature does the job, but it’d be way better if I could still see the full image. I like to zoom in for details, but I also need to zoom out fast to get the full picture—without having to redo the crop every time. And if the cropped version is super small, it’s easy to lose it in the middle of all my other refs.
