I’m tired of the lines I draw being grouped together, and having to exit draw mode to create new ones. Could you add an option in settings to create individual lines and another option to ungroup lines that are already grouped? :(
Thanks for the suggestion and sharing your feedback. We'll keep it in mind as we continue to improve PureRef. Just for discussions sake, would it help if the lines within a drawing could be selected separately while editing a drawing? That way you could copy/cut and paste them into new drawings. The main reason they are grouped is so that the hierarchy doesn't get overflowed by items as you make a drawing with a lot of lines, or doing some handwriting.
That sounds good to me.
A rectangle select tool in draw mode allowing you to move, copy/cut and paste lines.
Hello,

I'd love to reopen this topic after a year, as while I'm simply marking important parts of images in huge sets with rectangles (currently working on 1,5GB .pur file) it's painful to have all those rects combined (selecting anything is a nightmare). I'm double-tapping Ctrl+Shift+D to reset drawing mode to new one, but it's not the best experience.

It would be great if we could for example:
- split drawings into parts (although rects would probably explode to 4 lines which isn't great);
- choose "separate elements" mode while drawing so once the specific tool is used (single stroke, rectangle, circle, etc) it creates new drawing;

btw - is there any way to have scale-independent line thickness?
