puref could/should check if next to the ".exe"-file

if there is (already) an "PureRef.ini" file.

so that file from the local dir is used ,
not the one in eg. C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\PureRef\PureRef.ini
which gets auto-created on startup.

would be nice if one could set the behaviour/location of the .ini-file (probably as relative path too?)

Thanks for the suggestion! PureRef should already check its local directory first, have you tried making a file named PureRef.ini next to PureRef.exe?
sorry, works! was a slight mix-up on changing pcs.

a small improvement could of course be to place the ini file in the app folder in advance (only for the portable version of course)
so that no ‘system rights complications’ can occur with e.g. folders on the system drive (eg not allow to write to some folders etc.)

Glad to hear it worked! And thanks for the feedback, it could indeed be useful to have it contained by default.
retested ... currently it seems puref (2.0.3) creates a new folder "PureRef" next to the executable and puts a new .ini in there ...
so PureRef.ini next to PureRef.exe is ignored.

Thank you for reporting back! We'll make sure to get this fixed in the next version of PureRef. As a workaround you can make a shortcut that provides the settings file path on the command line with "-s PureRef.ini"
We've just released a beta version of PureRef 2.1.0 that should resolve this issue, please give it a try and let us know if it helps!
