PureRef is already super useful app! But I think the ability to add .mp4 videos and trim it would make it unparalleled, even with paid tools.

From Motion designer/Creative director perspective, if anyone wants to save a particular part of a video as an inspiration, first they have to trim the video in a video editing software and then insert it. This cause lot of time just sorting this out.

Hence, I think this feature of adding video with a trimming option could be a gamechanger!
Thank you for the suggestion. This feature is quite frequently requested but it is a big undertaking so we can't promise when we'll be able to get it done, but for the sake of discussion: How would you expect the data to be handled if there was such a feature? Currently most users embed images in the .pur files but we worry that they would become huge if videos would also be embedded in there.
Thanks a lot for taking it into consideration. I would expect the videos to be handled like the images, all embedded. It's user's concern regarding the video files size and pureref file size. But this will be a gamechanger in motion and 3d industry once this feature will be released.
I 100% agree that PureRef could be so much bigger with an mp4/video feature, I am a 3D artist and often model organic objects, for example helmets, vehicles & more.

For example when I do model vehicles, I always have a video of a "tour" video about the car open on another monitor, so it's very useful for videos to be embedded into pureref so it doesn't use a whole screen for it, just quick and easy playing so I can look at new angles and use that as my reference.
+1 to embedding mp4s into pureref. this would allow us to send .pur files to friends with all the video references in tact
+1 on this. MP4, WebM, i'll take anything over GIF lol.

Gifs make the file size ridiculously large as well.
