if eg. I resize an object with the handles I can use ctrl to rotate it at the same time.
is there a shortcut to not rotate, but move the whole object _while_ I'm still in resize mode?

this would save you zooming in to select the object (again) for moving (as it can become [very] small)

Thanks for the suggestion! You can add an alias shortcut for "Move item" that you can use to do this, unfortunately it only works one way and won't resume resizing when released. We'll note that this is something you would like to see in future versions.
