1. Ctrl+Click - select color and closes Color Picker window.
2. Basic colors table as in Windows Paint.
3. Ability to save user colors.

Thanks for the suggestion! With number 1, do you mean Ctrl+Click on the color picker window itself, or Ctrl+Click on a spot on the canvas?
