I use the recent files panel very often but it shows the full path of the file making it hard to distinguish files and having to right click and move the cursor to "Open > Open Recent > C:/Long/Path/to/The file I want to.pur" is finicky at times.

I think a recent files list would be very useful, I have made a mock-up of what I'm referring to:

Thank you for the suggestion! Other suggestions have mentioned that they want to see thumbnails of recent files as well, is this something you're interested in?

We've just released a beta version of PureRef 2.1.0 which includes a recent files widget with thumbnails, please give it a try and let us know if it helps!
