Topic: The latest version of pureref occasionally flickers or jitters when manually switching between slideshow modes.
The latest version of pureref will occasionally flicker or jitter when manually switching to the next or previous picture in slideshow mode. (The situation is the same in memory mode) Test scene: a set of sequences obtained through screenshot videos, which is especially obvious in this scene. (doesn't happen in version 1.11, switch process is very smooth)

Same image sequence, when I load it in version 1.11 and hold down the → button it's very smooth like playing a video, whereas in the latest version it tries to shake.
Because there is currently no mp4 support, in order to achieve high-quality dynamic reference, I continuously screenshot the video sequence frames to obtain the sequence and simulate it in the form of a slide show, but unfortunately it works very poorly in the latest version.
I wonder if the jittering problem in the slideshow comes from the fact that every operation in the latest version needs to be written to the hard disk once? My device has 64GB of memory and uses an SSD m.2 hard drive. If this is really the reason, then should there be a setting that allows users to set whether to enable this feature? I don’t know why the new version needs to be modified. Because, all changes need to be written to the hard disk, what are the benefits of this? In my actual experience, I don't feel its advantages at all.
Updated test results, when I use in memoty in the latest version it will jitter and flicker as I said above, and when I use in memory, low zoom quality it will no longer jitter.
However, in version 1.11 my zoom quality setting is high (uses more ram) and it is very smooth and does not cause jitter or flicker.
And in version 1.11, when I drag the sequence image into pureref, the loading process is like playing a video.
In the latest version, even if I set it to in memory and low zoom quality, when I drag the sequence image into pureref, its loading process will still flicker crazily or not be displayed.
1: When I view a dynamic reference sequence through the slideshow function, if the pictures of two sequence frames overlap, it cannot automatically bring the focused image to the upper layer when I switch the sequence pictures.
2: Also when I view the dynamic reference sequence through the slideshow function, whenever I switch to the next image, the image always automatically scales to maximize the screen. But sometimes I need to see part of the image, so I zoom in and look. Is it possible to modify the way of switching slides (or set a switch) to switch slides with the same magnified screen?

Would you be able to make a small screen recording showing the issue? The reason for the disk cache in 2.0 is to unload RAM, but it is configurable as you figured out. In memory, low zoom quality should be equivalent to 1.11 but there has been a lot of changes to how loading works.
How to publish a video?
