Despite the info popup with filename and info is a great addition, it would be very handy, at least for photographers, to have an option to display filenames under pictures to make contact sheet so image selection for printing would be really easier.
Note : I apologize if the option is already there but haven't found it.
Thanks for the suggestion! There's no such feature currently but we'll note your request. For the sake of discussion: Do you want to be able to toggle them on and off? Or have them visible always? If the latter it can be done manually right now with notes, but it might be a bit cumbersome. You can also see the names of images in the Hierarchy view, but then you would have to select the image to see which one it maps to. When you say filenames do you mean that you want to see the entire path or just the image name?
Thanks for your interest in this request.
I think it would be nice if we could turn it on or off, depending on the context. Thanks for pointing me to the Hierarchy View, it's a very handy feature I wasn't aware of.
But contact sheet is another purpose. Entire path or just the file name, I would say that just the name would be fine.
The idea being to send the contact sheet to a client so he could choose pictures, so there is no need to give the full path, it will make thing harder to read. Furthermore, we can easily locate a file from its name (thanks to the hierarchy view :)
