I noticed that in both PureRef 1 and 2, copied image selections are pasted (externally) as one entity and carry the background of the PureRef canvas.

Is it possible to:
- paste copied image selections as separate images?
- when copying image selections, allow the option to enable transparency?

Thanks for the suggestion!

- How do you imagine it would work to paste the images separately? Like as files in explorer?
- There is a few hidden settings that can be changed manually by editing the settings file, under [General_Settings] add:
CopyBackground=NoBackground

You can also change CopyBorders and CopyIncludeChildren if you want. These settings may change in the future but for now they should work.

You can find info where the settings file is located here: https://pureref.com/handbook/2.0/settings/#settings-window

Thank you so much for the response!

- Yes, when pasting the images externally I was imagining having the option to copy them as a single image (as we have currently) or copy them as separate images - so they can paste externally similar to in File Explorer.
- I haven't tinkered with these settings before, but it's great to know there's the option to exclude the background - that's very handy!
So, I've added the CopyBackground=false line under the [General_Settings] section of the PureRef.ini file, but it seems to have not made any difference.

Quick question: are the settings changed differently if I'm running the portable version of PureRef?

Sorry, we gave the incorrect instructions above, it should be like this:

CopyBackground=NoBackground

(edited the above post as well to be correct)

I would also use the option to copy/paste images into a file explorer. Currently the copy option works only for copying image data into other apps.

Suggested use:
1. Select image(s)
2. Click Ctrl+C or a popup menu "Copy" (if it can't be done with the current copy, then a separate "Copy file"?)
3. Paste into a file explorer

Edit: Nevermind, there already exists "Export selected images" option.

@Admin I've also tried with the CopyBackground=NoBackground line but it seems to also not work.

Is there available documentation that provides guidance on adjusting these settings/parameters on the settings/ini file?
Admin
@Beeam: Unfortunately there's no docs for it but if you share your PureRef.ini we can try to help. Either make a pastebin and share it here or send it to us via the contact form on the support page in case you don't want to share it with everyone.
FOr some reason I'm getting a Forbidden (403) error when I try to paste the ini file here.
Admin
We don't have file upload support on this forum because of issues with spammers so if you can paste it to pastebin.com or similar and paste the link here that should work!

@no1a: We've just released a beta version of PureRef 2.1.0 where we've at least added the functionality to paste the selection to Explorer as a png. If you wanna give it a try let us know if it is helpful to you!
