Topic: In the hierarchy list, drag children onto their parent to unparent them / release them
I have a Note with several images as its children, and I am having trouble un-parenting these children. In other programs if I select the children, drag them onto the parent and release, they are unparented. This would be the most intuitive way to unparent elements.
Nevermind, I see that I can drag them to the side! Neat.
It should also be possible to drop the child in between the parent and the top child, when you see a line that covers the entire label under the parent the dropped item will be placed below it as a sibling. But it can be a bit finicky as you can also place it above the top child item and still be a child of the parent, but in that case the line should only cover the child items label.
When you're far down the hierarchy it can be really annoying, that's why we added the indent drop zone as well that you found :) And a last way to do it would be to use the Ungroup command (Ctrl+Shift+G).
Thanks so much for the tips!
The new features are incredible really, especially the hierarchical grouping and locking feature are tremendously helpful, being able to build layouts without having import and scale/crop lines is amazing, and finally we can organize everything neatly in the hierarchy manager and draw stuff too. Oh and the gifs...good lord, it's almost too good to be true!
Please keep up the great work!
Glad to hear you like it! :) Just let us know if you have any other questions or suggestions! (In new threads ;))
