It would be nice to have a setting that would allow for creating notes and drawings of the same scale regardless of the current zoom level.
It's a bit annoying having to reset the zoom level each time I want to create a note or drawing at 1x scale.

Thanks for the suggestion! Do you mean that you would like a setting that you would "permanently" turn off because you never want the current behavior or something more easily toggleable so you can switch between the modes?

I wouldn't mind the setting be toggleable as long as the preference is remembered between sessions.
I can see scenarios where I would need to switch between the two modes (more so for drawings and rarely for notes).
One additional quality-of-life feature related to this would be to have an action to reset the scale of a selected item to 1x.
This would help having to redo any work done accidentally at the wrong scale.

Thanks for the clarification! There is a Reset transform action that you can use to reset the scale of the selection with Ctrl+Shift+T, is that what you're looking for? Another option is to use the Normalize scale action to make the size of multiple notes the same. In PureRef 2.0 you can also set the source to be the "from first" so you can normalize a selection to be the same size as the first selected item.

I still think having an option to prevent zoom based scaling would be helpful just to reduce clicks.

This needs to be added. We need a choice to fix the scale of the created text.

For some time now I just could not figure out what was off with Pureref's drawing tools, causing me to constnatly resize my scene (via select all) to match the drawing scale.

Well I finally put my finger on it, its the same issue as the OP.

This makes drawing in Pureref so counter inutitive, since 99% of drawing programes out there use an absolute pen width.

I've used every drawing, painting and animation programme out there and I cant say I have come across any that make the pens width dependent on the zoom level.

Can we please, pretty please, get a command, or a preferance option to determine weather pend width will be zoom dependent or not. Please.

@netmano90: Thanks for the input and the gif! We understand the frustration and are keeping this issue in mind for upcoming versions. The reason for the way it works currently is that we've always designed PureRef to be a more dynamic board, where you can create "islands" with different scale easily, because of this the scaling depending on zoom is "required" to make it work smoothly without having to update scales and widths.
