I'd like to suggest a "Lock camera to canvas" feature.
To lock you from zooming out and panning further than the size, height or width of the canvas.

I often zoom out to see the whole canvas, and the infinite zoom causes issues: the images become too small, I waste time trying to make them fit the screen and they never line up well.
Same with the infinite pan: I overshoot and end up showing useless blank space and struggle to line up my images with the window.

By locking the camera to the canvas, we'd be able to make the images fit the window and pan them without worrying of going to far.
Adding a "Lock camera to canvas height/width" would make it so you could, for example, put a vertical PureRef window next to your work software, zoom out to make the canvas fit vertically and easily pan left and right to see the rest of the canvas without worrying about dragging too far.

*Big fan of Pureref, thank you so much for all the hard work (and the new beta)

Thank you for the suggestion! You probably know, and in that case the question would be how this is different, but are you using the "Focus selection" function? By pressing space the selected images will fill up the entire view, and if nothing is selected the entire canvas will be fitted to the view (Only in 2.0).
