Hello! Thanks for making this useful software!

For me it would be very handy to have something like a "Window Mode" in the Mode options.
In this mode the window would behave like a normal software window with the "close" "minimize" and "maximize" buttons in the left (or right in windows) corner and a drag bar.
Often I want to minimize the window or drag it around or just close it. Of course this is possible by shortcuts/menu bar/right click but it would make the workflow more easy to me if I could use it just like all the other apps I'm working with.
I see that the "PureRef-way" makes sense for that kind of software. I just noticed that I need to switch to that system in my mind every time I want to take a look at the reference images. Searching for a minimize button or drag bar which is kind of a distraction to me. Probably I'll get used to that but it would be very cool to have that option.

Don't know if this is something that can be implemented without getting into conflict the current system. But it would be nice!

I joined the forum to request this as well - sometimes it can be so confusing to switch to pureref from another software because you have to mentally change how things work. Being able to set a "normal window"mode or something would be a really good idea.
Being able to run PureRef in window mode would be extremely beneficial considering Windows 11 has expanded the functionality of the expand button and has created a very good system for organizing your applications.

If PureRef had the ability to be organized in this fashion, it would be pretty cool and alleviate a couple seconds fiddling with the window position.
I would also encourage PureRef to run in a more traditional window mode. It becomes difficult to share the screen at times because it removes other screens and to move the container around proves quite confusing and difficult — especially when presenting work.
I freakin' love this app! It is so powerful and convenient. Everything is intuitive and streamlined. The only thing I wish for a windowed mode with a regular toolbar to minimize, move, and close the app.

We've just released a beta of PureRef 2.0 that tries to solve this issue while still staying true to our minimalistic design by adding a title bar that, by default, is shown on hovering the mouse cursor over the top of the PureRef window. The behavior of this title bar can be controlled via the setting "Titlebar visibility", and if set to "Always show" will work like a normal title bar. You can download it on the download page if you want to give it a go!

Great to see a new version of PureRef! (And especially to know that it's still maintained)
I just quickly tried the new Titlebar feature. It seems to be exactly what I was hoping for! Thanks a lot!
