Hello and congratulations for making such a neat utility!
A feature that I think would be really really useful is the ability to switch on/off a grayscale mode (maybe in conjunction with brightness and contrast controls as someone else has already suggested)
thanks, keep up the good work :)

Do you mean that this function would be applied to the entire scene or per image as the other suggestion requested?
This is an area which we are looking into, trying to find good ways to do this without adding to much performance requirements.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Wanted to suggest this myself, I'd say per selected image, example: `select images` -> `g` (shortcut) -> `selected images toggle grayscale mode`
Thanks for the input, we will keep it in mind when looking into this feature.
I was just about to contact you guys with this suggestion. But it looks like there's already a post here.
Though, I would want to be able to toggle on and off grayscale mode with a hotkey and have it effect the entire scene.
Having to turn it on per image would be tedious.
This is the only thing holding me back.
My current work around is to export my entire scene as a PNG, bring it into photoshop, convert to greyscale, bring it back into PureRef, and save a colored version and a grayscale version of my scene.
Every time I do this I wish this functionality was built in. Isolating values is essential to looking at reference.
There's even an Extension for Chrome that lets you set a hotkey to toggle Greyscale in your browser. Makes using sites like Pinterest much more effective.
Anyway, I really hope this feature comes soon.
:)
Like this idea like in Kuadro.
Makes study value much easier and quicker.
Exactly as BrainchildTV said, I think a greyscale mode affecting the entire scene with a hotkey toggle on/off would be ideal.
It would be really useful for painters and sculptors who focus on a tonal range and possibly work in colours at a later stage.
Changing greyscale for individual images could be a bit tedious, but I guess it would be useful for users who look at multiple references at the same time and want to see some that show colour.
Thanks for all the work on this app, its a lifesaver
The next version of PureRef will have both per image grayscale toggling and a full scene grayscale mode, we hope that will satisfy all of your grayscaling needs!
Thanks everyone for your input.
Looking forward to it, thanks so much.
This is now available in the latest version of PureRef, 1.9.0!
