Any plans of updating pureref for retina support on macs? Just started using this app a few weeks ago and cant thank you guys enough, by far the most useful piece of software i have found in recent memory.
Do you mean bigger menu actions and options? Or is there something else that behaves strangely?
Right now there are no such plans unless there are no specific issues caused by it.
We are looking into this issue for upcoming versions but until then we have heard reports of a program called Retinizer which can add retina support to PureRef. So if you are still having this issue it might be worth a try.
Hi guys, I think I know what he means. I'm using a Retina Macbook Pro 15 inch and PureRef (wonderful by the way!) is pixel doubling rather than using the resolution of the retina display. So the pics look great in chrome or photoshop for example, and then you drag or paste them to PureRef and it goes crunchy.
Thanks again for the work and +1 for Retina support :D
On mac and i think perhaps also on windows, there is no HDPI support. This means it looks a bit pixelated. Also on OSX when we check app info, "Use low res mode" is greyed out. Sometimes you can fix this by adding
<string>NSApplication</string>
<key>NSHighResolutionCapable</key>
<true/>
<key>NSSupportsAutomaticGraphicsSwitching</key>
<true/>
to the Plist, i tried but didnt help in this case.
I hope new version will have this option
Yes, this will be fixed in the next version of PureRef, so keep an eye out for that!
Im really curious when that will be, are there hints on a release date :)
Unfortunately we can't say but it is getting pretty close! We're as eager as you are to get it out :)

You are free to pay as you wish. Read the small letters ;)

Cool thanks for the link. Perhaps you should make a new thread for this. I think this is very handy for OSX users.
PS if you need a high res app icon. I made this new one from this thread ICNS ready
