Thanks for the suggestion! How do you imagine it working? Just having a tray entry instead of the taskbar button at all times? Or just have it in the tray when it is minimized?
I would personally prefer a preference to choose whether PureRef sits entirely in the taskbar or the the system tray. For users who have PureRef running basically all the time it feels weird to have it constantly take up space on the taskbar.
In the latest version 2.0.0.beta6 there is a hidden setting to enable a test mode to force PureRef to the system tray in case anyone wants to give it a go! We made some quick tests but didn't have time to verify if it actually works well so it didn't make it to the beta release, but if you want to help test it we would love to hear your feedback!

To enable it:
- Close PureRef.
- Locate your settings file (depending on your OS refer to https://www.pureref.com/handbook/2.0/settings/#settings-window).
- Open PureRef.ini and add the following on a new line under [General_Settings]: ShowInTray=true
- Restart PureRef, it should now only show in the system tray.
