Hi guys, I'm always using pureref in two modes: always on top and not. One is the little concept overlay sitting over zbrush/maya on monitor 1 (on top) and the other is a large swathe of reference on monitor 2 (not on top).
Thing is every time I start a new PureRef it might be A.O.T. or not depending which instance I happened to click last, and i can only see by right clicking and going to mode, and look at the status there. Or clicking a background item and then clicking pureref. Everything else about pureref is so zen and automatic to me that this is quite jarring.
It would be, at least for me, seamless if i could hit the ctrl-shift-a shortcut have the visual feedback of "Enabled Always On Top" appear as a small text prompt a margin-width from bottom or top of my pureref window, then alpha ease out. Hitting it again would cancel the easeOut and hide the text, replacing it with "Disabled Always On Top" and then allowing that to ease out. That way I could hit it, and be happy with outcome or hit it again to quickly set it back as it was.
Thanks so much for reading! I wish I still had Flash installed to do a quick demo :D
Just a small tip if you didn't know: If you always have 2 different usecases for PureRef you should consider making 2 different settings files for PureRef. You can set this up by making a new shortcut to PureRef and providing a command line argument in its settings: -s C:\path\to\new_settings.ini
That shortcut will then use its own settings file and will always start up as you left it even if you had another window of PureRef open somewhere else.
