Topic: Taskbar's "Recently Opened" Feature removed?
I remember in the past, if I right-clicked PureRef on the taskbar, it'd show a context menu with "Recently Opened" files listed. Not sure if it's an undocumented change or bug but I really liked that feature. Was wondering what happened to it.
The recent list feature is unfortunately completely on Windows side of things and it only works if you have .pur files associated to PureRef (if you have multiple versions installed it only works for the one that has .pur file associations). You can make sure that .pur files is associated to the correct version of PureRef by going into PureRefs settings, under System, and click "Install" (or first "Uninstall" and then "Install") next to "File association (.pur)". Does that help for you?
Unfortunately no luck but appreciate the help. Tried a clean reinstall as well.
Yeah, I think this was around the time I upgraded Windows 10 to 11? Will update here if I ever figure out what's causing it.
Sorry it didn't help. It could be worth double checking so that the feature is not completely disabled, there should be an option in the Folder Options dialog in Windows, like "Show recently used files" or something like that.
Ay! solution worked! That was indeed the culprit, apparently that setting switched that off during my Windows 11 update.
I just had to re-index and today all back to its natural glory.
Appreciate the help!
