When I import a jpg/png file into pureRef the colors look toned down from what it's supposed to be. Windows preview shows it correctly and this is also the way I export it from photoshop. I attached a screenshot: https://i.postimg.cc/qMtbbPyt/weird-colors-on-import.jpg

Maybe it's a bug or maybe the color pallet is incorrect, I don't know. Can you help me solve this?

Unfortunately, PureRef doesn't have any color space settings yet, so it only uses the sRGB space for all images. Are you able to convert your image to sRGB and see if that makes a difference? In that case, let us know!

We are working on adding support for color profiles in future versions, if you have time to help us out we would greatly appreciate to know what color space your original image is using!
Yes I eventually figured out that re-opening the image in photoshop fixed the problem. Photoshop assigned a color space to the image which looked the same as the original image. I don't understand the inclusion of color spaces to images fully yet so I hope I'm telling you this correctly.

I don't know which color space was on the image. I remember photoshop telling me there was no color space assigned to the image, that's all I know.
That's great to hear, it sounds correct. We agree that color spaces are a bit hard to wrap your head around. :) Thank you for getting back to us either way!
Good day! My PS use a sRGB profile and PureRef use a sRGB profile, but colors is different. =(

I figured it out. PureRef does not use SRGB. PureRef uses the color range of the monitor itself. Because with an LG monitor, when I assigned this color profile in Photoshop, the colors between the source in PureRef and the image in Photoshop became identical.
We've just released a beta of PureRef 2.0 that implements support for embedded color profiles. You can download it on the download page if you want to give it a go and see if it helps for your use cases!
