Dynamic group connectors ?

Hello :)

I was wondering if it was possible to use some sort of vectors to link groups together, but making it dynamic so if I move the groups it would still be linked and not leave the arrows behind.

It would also go really well with the new text tool, as it would help show the relations between groups of a same .pur

Have a nice day, absolutely love your work you're the bests !!!

Hi, I just stumbled across this 2024 topic suggesting the addition of "dynamic connectors" for (arrowed or not) lines / curves to keep track of text boxes / images objects they would be linked to.
This because of how the current "line / arrows system" works, usig the drawing tool / tool to create static "image like" objects that can only be moved as a whole independently from other objects.

If looking for a reference program that uses a similar feature to what has been described by mioki_leaf, the first I can think of would definitively be "draw.io diagrams" : https://www.drawio.com/

From what i understand, draw.io connectors act like vector objects with star/end anchor points, and three (initial) "vector angle" points ; allowing these to be displayed as angular lines (hard or round edged), and smoothly curved, as well as moving them dynamically across the canvas.

These draw.io connectors allow some of the following :
- making lined / curved connectors (with or arrowed end or not) from elements boxes (text / images / groups), starting from predefinite archor points (usually 8 cardinal border points, or more) (with a simple click + drag)
- linking these connectors to other objects anchor points, or even other connectors' anchor points themselveves (drag + release)
- moving inepdenant (ungrouped) objects while connectors reajust in space accordingly
- deleting object while keeping the connectors in place, allowing to relink their star/end to another object anchor
- moving connectors sections (vector anchors) to rearrange lines / curves across the canvas
- adding / removing vector points (double click ? delete ? mouse wheel ?) to connectors, to complexify / simply lines / curves across the canvas ?
note : for the last one im not sure, but after retesting it, i think these anchor points actually increase dynamically depending the complexity of the curve, or the position the three initial vector points

Hope this example can help in finding leads to implement such a feature, that is very handyin a program like draw.io

Thanks again for the hard work >;3

edit : a similar proposition seem to have been suggested in a more recent entry

PureRef doesn't currently have this feature, but thank you for the suggestion! Do you know of any other software that you think has implemented this feature in a good way that we could use as inspiration in case we ever get to adding this feature?
