@SorkinQuinzel: You can still drag and drop as usual onto the recent files widget to create a new scene. We understand that it is not as obvious especially when the window is smaller, we'll try to make it clearer in the future!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using PureRef for quite some time now, and it’s the first thing I open before I even start Blender. Like many of you, I found out about it through word-of-mouth, but I’ve always felt PureRef deserved a proper introduction to show the artist how much it changes the creative workflow.

Thank you for the kind words, we're happy to hear that you find the new cropping features useful! You can always "donate" by buying PureRef again, since we provide the pay-what-you-want model, but spreading the word always helps a lot too!

For finally implementing aspect-lock functionality in the cropping tool.

I no longer have to preemptively crop backup versions of images to square ratios before adding them to my PureRef scenes. I can now take full advantage of my secondary monitor’s screen space with a packed grid of evenly sized images for all my art, gaming, and project needs. I clearly remember creating an account on these forums a while back specifically to suggest a similar feature, since I didn't see anyone else bringing it up at the time. The implementation you went with ended up being far simpler and more elegant than anything I would have suggested myself.

Thanks for listening. If there were ever a way to donate in support of your work, I would happily do so. I understand that is not something you offer, but I hope the appreciation comes across here regardless. The best I can do is continue recommending this incredibly useful tool to others who could benefit from it.

When you select the custom amount option, the third payment amount defaults to $20 (at least for me). You can overwrite it with a 0 to download for free.

I understand on some level this default, but it is very confusing and, in many ways, manipulative.

Not seeing a way to download PureRef as a previous purchase moving to a new computer? THere is muntion of just putting $0 in the download form but that is no longer an option from what I can see?

Just wanted to say I love the recent files sidebar addition upon opening the program so much! It makes jumping back into projects super streamlined :) And even adding the ability to pin them is amazing.

Unfortunately, since our licenses are honor based, all you can do is to let them know that they can not use it anymore, after that it should be up to them to acquire licenses if needed. We've opted for honor based licenses as we believe in peoples honesty, but we understand that it can be a bit of a hassle when there's no administrative tools.

Small business license users - how does it work?

Hiya, I've recently purchased the small business license. However, I'm confused as to how it will work over time.

My work is project based, so on each project I may need different people to access the license than the ones before. How do I manage who has access to my license and who doesn't?

As far as I'm aware, you share the download link on a honour basis, but how do I prevent users from old projects, accessing my license? Or does it not matter?

I want to be able to swap out the 2 extra seats on my license on each project.

Thanks for letting us know! Which email client are you using? The notification emails are plain text currently but most email clients we've tried auto convert the links anyway. But it is a fair point that it would be nice if they are html in this day and age.

I know PureRef itself has no plans to be made open source, but would the "pur" file format ever be made either open source or some kind of api published? I would love to make some kind of web viewer for pur files so I can more easily share it boards with colleges. Is this something that might ever happen or is the entirety of PureRef going to remain closed source for the known future?

Ay! solution worked! That was indeed the culprit, apparently that setting switched that off during my Windows 11 update.
I just had to re-index and today all back to its natural glory.
